Trudy Hayes

Trudy J. Hayes, 71, passed away peacefully Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Ignite Medical Resort, Blue Springs.  She was born July 23, 1950 in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of John and Mildred (Weaver) Fristoe.

She was a lifetime Kansas City area resident and was a 1968 graduate of Northeast High School, Kansas City, MO. She had been a Financial Sales Assistant for 38 years, lastly with Morgan-Stanley/Dean Witter Financial Advisors.  Trudy was a member of Timothy Lutheran Church, Blue Springs, where she volunteered and enjoyed assisting with Vacation Bible School.  She enjoyed camping and fishing and mostly spending time with her family.

She married Johnny Ray Hayes on November 17, 1978, he preceded her in death in 2019.  Survivors include her children; Tabatha Martin and husband Travis, Blue Springs, MO, John Holmes and wife Jennifer, Lee’s Summit, MO, two step-sons, Troy Wright and Kyle Wright, nine grandchildren; Tate, Tanner, Karstan, Trent, Max, Tori, Archer, Chandler, and Chloe.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and three brothers; Larry, Don, and Chuck Coffman.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with her funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 23, 2021 all at Timothy Lutheran Church, 425 R.D. Mize Road, Blue Springs, MO 64014.  Memorial contributions are suggested to the H8 Cancer Foundation.
